I become a Frontier fios customer Friday. Verizon has an app the lets me watch recorded shows remotely on my phone or tablet. Does Frontier have an app that lets me do that?

I just got FIOS TV coming from Comcast/Xfinity. When I click on the guide or menu, it comes up in 4:3 with bars on the side. Also only 90 minutes of the upcoming shows. Is there a way to change this take up the full screen and show more upcoming shows? I tried all of the settings in the menu/tv and menu/settings area with no luck so I'm hoping there's another way to do it. HD channels do come up fine in widescreen HD, just not the menu and guide which looks really weird when it's not taking up the whole screen.

Right after my conversion to Vantage TV in CT, my Frontier TV Everywhere id no longer works. I subscibe to the Ultimate TV package. It suddendly stopped working for HBO, Showtime, Epix, all channels. After waiting 45 mins for a chat with tech support my response was "we know there is a problem and we are working on it, unable to provide ETA for resolution". I wonder if (1) it has do do with the Vanatge tv conversion (2) if the issue will suddenly "fix" itself after the Version sale closes for CA, TX and FL or (3) just another example of the "great" Frontier service we have been subject to since the sale from AT&T. Has anyone else had this issue?

Anyone else in Hillsboro/Forest Grove area seeing slow speeds? I'm getting speed test results showing 3Mbs down. I should be getting 35/35. I'm not sure exactly when it started. It seemed to be okay earlier this evening, but now it's painfully slow.

Hello, this is ZPower124! I have had Frontier for well over 7 years now... their infrastructure has NEVER been upgraded.. Same damn 3MBPS.. Where I live (Up by Canada area) there is a DSLAM in the WEEDS and in the summer you cannot even see it, due to the weeds getting very high! I have called a general manager and they took 5 dollars off of our monthly bill! Like that makes up for getting 0.12MBPS and a ping that never goes under 200.. All games are unplayable! I have contacted LOCAL staff and gave them 17 pages of the issues of Frontier... Amazingly they came back and said it was all true. Are their ANY other ways other than Satellite to get faster internet! But what really bothers me, down the road from our house, less then 2 miles away is a fiber-optic line with 600MBPS+ connections. One time while playing CS:GO I was asked,"Are you playing in a shack in the woods with that ping," I have disconnected all devices but one Ethernet PC and only got 0.5MBPS! With a ping of 600MS (I tested today) The issue is congestion, that no one will do anything about..... Can someone explain the possibility of buying my own DSLAM... We have already attempted to go to other extreme measures to get better internet... With all due respect, ZPower Edited to remove profanity grobinette

I am posting this from a smart phone because Frontier totally hosed me services -- Internet, Voice and TV -- when they tried to fix my HBO Go, etc. authorization issues. Whatever they did to try to fix the (minor) issue blew up and my ONT is no longer authorized service. And it is not just me. Others are reporting this issue too. So beware! ETA for the fix is unknown. Life without any connectivity to the outside except for my spouse's work phone sucks!

Using/setup a non Verizon router with frontier

I guess I got lucky with my tv picture failing last week. Verizon came out on Easter and replace my ONT since other was failing. I was very fortunate that the superb tech switched me from coax to Ethernet. I was going to get a new router but wanted to wait until the dust settles with the transition. I am luck so far and have not had any problems so far (pasco/odessa area). Will releasing the ip address from the old router then turning power off to the router work the same way it did with Verizon? If it doesn't release, if I keep it shut off for the two hours will it automatically release? Thanks for the assistance and any suggestions on routers that can be purchased from Amazon price range 100 - 150. Should be good for gaming so kids will be happy. One last thing. Is there a way to tell if the new ONT happens to be the gigabit type? I only have 75/75 so i am assuming no, but is there a way to check?

I have just suffered through the Verizon to Frontier switch. I know they are saying it takes time, but the new stuff I see from them is even worse than what Verizon did. e.g. the weather widget does not have a TV window and they sort the cities alphabetically and only go right-left not circular. Their software to show recent calls is wrong. It shows the calls for me in PST not PDT but the records they got from Verizon has the right time. They also don't know when today and yesterday happen as they don't seem to correct the dates until late in the afternoon or a some magical time. I have always thought the Verizon programmers were not very bright but Frontier seems to make them look like geniuses. (My bias from the Bell Labs vs GTE labs in Chicago long ago) :huh:

I hate to ask, but the past few days when I call Frontier about my TVeverywhere and Music Choice issue, it sure sounds like I am calling out of the Country like other vendors do. Everything I say has to be repeated and the "tech" obviously has no idea what I am talking about! They used to say welcome and I am in Washington or Indiana, but no more!

Looking to find a more robust method of delivering wireless is my modest home. I run with ethernet out of the ONT as I'm using a cable card with Tivo so I do not require the MOCA/HPNA. Was looking into the Unifi products for perhaps a couple of access points around the house. Was just curious if anyone was using a setup like that in their homes or small business. TIA

Business FIOS connection went down in the 3:00 a.m. hour overnight. I've been on the phone with Frontier since around 7:45 a.m. It's now 10:25 a.m. and I'm STILL on hold, this time with the 5th rep. Getting nowhere. Phone reps can't do anything but look up the account, then communicate internally with their fiber/fios support team-- something we the customers cannot access directly. 3 hours later, still NO ticket created, still on hold, still no clues. Meanwhile, circuit has been down hard for 7 hours.

I spent endless hours trying to keep my D2200D modem from resetting itself every minute or so. It only did this while wireless was turned on. Additionally, while trying to join a device to the network it reported "incorrect password" when the password was correct. The cause and fix were posted elsewhere by FrontierTech and mkrasz. Thanks! The cause was I had set the SSID to start with a number, i.e. "598-1". When I changed the SSID to letters only the resetting stopped instantly. Thanks again.

I'm in the Dallas Area Good News: I am watching a CBS VOD show ( The Big Bang Theory ) in HD. Bad News: ABC and NBC are not showing up... so it looks like it's in a transition period... they are actively adding content as we speak. jack

Just logged into the Frontier android app, and my account info is now showing the correct Internet, Phone and Video packages. Still can't see my or manage my secondary FDV line, but that's getting ported to Ooma on Monday, so I guess I don't mind. Still can't do anything useful with the Frontier TV app or website. Glad I have TiVo, that app has worked fine throughout.
