My TV & Internet is about to jump to $207.99 before taxes (adds another $25 to $30)
I'm in Tampa, i have 75/75 internet, Quantum TV, 3 TV's, 1 DVR, Preferred HD package.
Am i paying too much?
I chatted with a rep on the frontier website, and the best he could muster was to tell me what i'm paying now, how much it will jump up to once the discount expires. Really no help what so ever, no additional options provided. I didn't think Frontier service could get any worse.
Anyway, am i paying too much, and is it time to look at alternatives (Spectrum)?
One of the reasons i'm not looking forward to cancelling my service is my email address. Is there a way to cancel my service and keep my email address?

MoCa Help with Arris NVG468MQ
Hey everyone,
I have Frontier 150/150 FiOS.
There is CAT 5 cable from the ONT outside the house into my home office.
That CAT 5 goes into the red BROADBAND port on the back of the Arris NVG468MQ router.
I have 2 Kiwee MoCa 2.0 bonded adapters
I have coaxial cable ports on the wall of my office, and on the walls of every room in the house – 2 ports for each wall outlet.
Are you able to just plug coaxial cable from the wall into the back of the Arris router? The manual for the Kiwee adapter says that I'm supposed to plug ethernet cable from the router to an adapter, and then coaxial from the adapter to the wall. However, I think that's with the assumption that my router doesn't have MoCa 2.0 built in, which this router does. Right?
I'm totally ignorant with networking. Any confirmation, advice, tips would be great.
Right now, the admin on the router says the the MoCa 2.0 is DOWN.

Long loadtimes on some websites
Has anyone else noticed that in the past few days certain websites take a bit longer to load? For example YouTube takes longer to load then say Apple.com, I know that's not a fair comparison, but it is from what I have noticed. And it is not YouTube, it is other sites as well but nothing consistent as far as I could tell. Ping times are fine as well and so are trace routes, and I know it is not my internal network. Currently running pfSense and things used to load incredibly quickly but as I have stated that is no longer the case. Does anybody know if there is perhaps a peering issue with frontier? Anyway let me know if any of you guys have experienced this same as of recently.

[Phone] High Line voltage? Any frontier techs in here?
I work for a local k-12 school district in the IT department. We recently took a lightning hit nearby and some of our equipment was destroyed. While we were searching for damaged equipment and troubleshooting lines, we ran across this(literally it started arcing across a toner probe, with a plastic tip.) (see pictures).... This is probably Verizon era equipment, but I'm assuming that frontier claimed all assets back in the switch. Our existing PRI phone service provider is Armstrong. These lines haven't been used in a while, a long while. Clearly the wires running out of the box are still tied to something at the pole. I have no idea how much current is on the lines, but 184v DC, yikes!!! I'm assuming that only Frontier is allowed to touch these lines and since we no longer have their service, I'm not sure how to proceed or who to call. We are located in SE Ohio, near the WV boarder. Advice?

Certain Tampa Area Zip Codes Being Charged Wrong (Higher) Sales Tax

I am in one of the affected zip codes. In Nov & Dec 2018, my total taxes were $20.03. In Jan & Feb 2019, the total taxes jumped to $22.75.
If you live in Pasco County Florida and have a zip code that is shared with Hillsborough County Florida, check your bill.

yesterday , frontier Cust. serv. person here with new options...we have(since Verizon FIOS) landline/internet/TV serv. mostly happy....now offering to have TV thru Dish(says Frontier has "merged with Dish for TV services. anyone else aware of this?...Info?????

Anyone else been scammed by Frontier on equipment returns?
I cancelled TV service due to it being out most of the time and received a box and pre-printed UPS label to ship the equipment back in. I did so, and now a month later they billed me $300 and said they never received the items. They then asked me for the tracking number when I called in, which I asked why the hell they don't already have it since they paid for the shipping label. They did have the tracking number on the cardboard box they sent me hilariously enough, but not for the labels used to return the items.
The support rep claims I can go to my UPS store I dropped the package off using and get the tracking number magically somehow which seems like BS.
As insult to injury I also cancelled my Internet Service and need to return a modem but am about 99% sure no matter what happens they will claim I lost it.
Anyone else gone through this type of disaster with Frontier?

[DSL] Outage in WV
There has been an outage in WV since Friday evening. Frontier now has its calling tree setup to where you have to enter you telephone number to get tech support. Once you enter your number they advise there is an out in your area, if you want call back to enter you contact number. Once you enter your number they announce that call backs are only during working hours, Monday through Friday. This must be another cost cutting mechanism by Frontier. But I am wondering since the circuit has been out since Friday evening it repair on major arteries is also now only Monday through Friday.

Worst Company on the Planet?
I had Verizon for many years, finally dumped Frontier last fall b/c I went to internet only with Comcast. Dumped $250 per month of TV/Internet/Phone.
2 weeks ago I signed up for the 200/200 plan for $39.99
Called a week ago, said they "lost" my order. Spent an hour on the phone for them to create a new one with a new install date. Confirmed install date in chat after that.
Install day comes, nobody shows up. On chat they said that there was no product associated with my order and they have to create a new order and re-run my credit check (don't know why they have to do that in the first place).
Uhm no thanks...

So my deal was going to expire on my 150/150 service in July. So to get a head start I chatted last night and got the 200/200 service for 12 months for what I’m paying now. Now ran a speed test getting 150/200 for speeds I have the g1100 modem. I then get an email about my order that says they are sending me a NVG468MQ. Does the g1100 not handle the new speed correctly?

[DSL] Pricing change after speed change
I had 6 Mbps DSL for $25.52 month total, but because of persistent issues with disconnects and low speeds, I called them and one tech who came out recommended a downgrade to 3 Mbps to fix the low SNR and disconnects. However, as far as I know he didn't do much, if any, checking on the root cause. At the end, my line was downgraded to 1.5 Mbps, not 3 Mbps as expected. While that improved SNR and lessened disconnects, it didn't fix the root cause.
But the real surprise came later -- I received my next billing, and now my internet costs more than twice as much as it did before!! :o

[FIOS] On Demand volume
When I go to On Demand the background audio is excessive. This began about a couple of weeks ago. When I say "background audio" I mean the audio for the video the show when I am in On Demand. That audio really blasts, much louder than the audio I have for regular viewing.
I am asking if I am the only one. If they are doing this to everyone then will it help to complain?

[FIOS] Identifying the provider of On Demand shows
When I search for a show and find it in On Demand there are usually more than one entry, usually just two, one for SD and one for HD. Sometimes there are four, and each of the two pairs are separate. So I assume they are for different providers, such as one of HBO and one for Showtime. Is there a way to determine what the provider is?
The information could be useful if I want to suggest a movie to another subscriber. They might have a different package that might not have the movie.

[Phone] Simultaneous ring
Frontier has turned off my simultaneous ring again. That's how I reroute robo calls to nomorobos. This is the second time it's happened. It's easy enough to turn back on, but I have no idea why Frontier keeps turning it off!
