Here's something some of you may not be aware of.
DSL is setup on a yearly auto-renewing contract and you may get charged as much as $200 to cancel.
When I went to cancel my DSL they made no mention of this. When I got a bill that was $100 more than I expected I gave em a call. They did put in a request to refund the charge and it was approved.
I find it rather underhanded that they have the system setup in such a way that you can only cancel one month a year without incurring additional fees.
I just wanted to remind everyone that you may be on contract and not know it. So when you cancel your service you may get hit with an ETF. I would recommend checking on this when you call to cancel and make sure that there are no fees for cancelling.
