Interesting. Neighbor shopping for internet said only speeds offered by Frontier FIOS were 50/50, 100/100, and 150/150. I said that can't be right-- this street has been able to get 300/300 for years, and for a while I saw 500/500 available. (I check periodically.)
But sure enough, I went to the Frontier website and found 150/150 was the top tier offered at any address I keyed in on our street. Say what??!!
Meanwhile, Charter cable continues to ramp up its speeds, and their cheapest "base" tier for our area is now 100 Mbps (up from previous base of 60 Mbps).
I know Frontier has real-world financial problems, but the way to grow subscribers is NOT to REDUCE speeds available when your primary competitor continues to raise speeds.
