So I just signed up for new FiOS internet and TV service today after having all services cancelled because of a number port to Ooma. I also just bought a Tivo Bolt so I did not need or want a STB, just a cablecard. The rep on the phone kept telling me that he could not add a cablecard onto my new service order, that Frontier did not offer cablecards, and that I had to have at least one STB on my account. I thought to myself that there was no way this could be true because cablecards must be offered due to FCC rules. Does anyone know how I can get one added to my account, and whether or not the 1 STB minimum is in fact a hard requirement. The service install is set for this Oct. 20th, so maybe I can have changes made to my order based off of information from here.
