I swear this company just loves to troll me :p
First off, I made a few posts on here several months ago about how i was having phone issues that frontier didn't care to fix and how they were seemingly neglecting my neighborhood with junction boxes being destroyed and never replaced and copper wires just sticking up out of the ground exposed
Well fast forward a few months, after a few calls to the Michigan utility commission, my phone service has finally been fixed and has actually been quite reliable. Frontier even got around to replacing the destroyed junction boxes on my road!
in July I received a flyer in the mail about dsl promotion so I figured I would contact them to see if it was finally available for here. BTW I have been receiving these flyers every few months or so ever since frontier took over verizon back in 2010 even though every time i have contacted them, they say it's not available in my area. The salespeople always get a good chuckle when i tell them that I keep receiving these flyers
The salesperson I talked to this time said it was in fact available at my location and that someone else on my street had it installed earlier in the year. So we set up the installation for July 31. On the day of installation I get a call saying that they are no longer taking dsl installations in the area due to congestion issues. So i took a day off of work for nothing. wonderful
Frontier said they would call me back in a few days to update us on the status of our order. Of course no call ever came. So I called the delayed order department, left a message. A week later still no return call. called them again last week and finally got a return call today. Basically told me that they have no timetable for when they will be accepting new installations but that they are hoping to target our area sometime in the fall. But considering The person i talked to said they have been in the process of upgrading the nearby area of Yale for the last 7 months, I am not getting my hopes up anytime soon :(
