I live approximately 18,000' from the CO and for about 6 years I have gotten a solid 2.2 mb/s down and 384 kb/s up.
Over the last month or so I have noticed slow downs in the afternoons and evenings.
On Sat 6/21/14 everything went to hell, bandwidth was all over the place. Uploads were failing, packet loss as high as 50%. As bad as 200 kb/s down to 10 kb/s up. Basically unusable. I called tech support and the guy says he sees noise on my line and says they can't roll a truck till Tues 6/24/14. So I cancel all my appointments for Tues and no truck. I call tech support back and he says call us back tomorrow. I call them on Wed 6/25/14 and they say they will be there on Thurs 6/26/14 morning. Still no show. I call them and they say there is over 30 people with the same problem and they are working on it. I ask what the problem is and the tech says I am in a high demand area. I kept my schedule clear for 3 days thinking I needed to be home only to find out they never had any intentions of coming on site. I should of known something was fishy because speeds were better in the early morning hours and degraded to crap after 9AM. If they told me the real reason for the issues I could have made money the last 3 days.
