So, after doing some research, and desiring a DSL line for a fail over... it seems that in Florida, (ex GTE/Vzw areas) are now bound to a max of 6m/512k?
Oddly tho, doing a search to multiple addresses, including ones that i know are close enough to throw a football to the DSLAM, i see no packages offered past 3m/386k.
What is the real scoop? I know that you really dont know until a tech is dispatched and they find you a pair and check the line quality but i mean damn, that basically tells me that 3m/386k is the best i could hope for. Im 800 feet from a fiber fed dslam. Is there ANY word anywhere of hope that they will stop being so archaic with ADSL and swap to ADSL2+ in these areas?
