I've been hit twice....
The first time last year blew out the modem, pfsense box, network switch, ethernet port on the motherboard and one of the dvi ports on my video card. The second time a month ago blew out the modem, roku, and one of the hdmi ports on the tv.
While i have protection on the power aspect of things, i really don't have anything on the phone line coming in. I have a dry loop setup, so i have a wall jack that goes straight to the NID and the modem plugs into that.
And i'm wondering if lighting suppression would be helpful on the phone line coming in, or would it interfere with the dsl signal coming in?
