[FIOS] Porting phone # - do I need to cancel FIOS afterwards?

After many 38 years of GTE->Verizon->Frontier phone service I am moving out of the Frontier service area porting phone to Verizon Wireless to keep # I have had Verizon DSL->Frontier DSL->Frontier FIOS. Will the port cancel the FIOS or do I need to cancel with Frontier? Do I notify Frontier before or after the phone port?
