Frontier FIOS TV in 98033 with a Tivo Roamio. When downloading programs to the Tivo app on an iPad, my experience has been that the Tivo app enforces "must be deleted from Tivo after download" policy for copy-once -- and that most interesting programs fall under this policy.
However today I was downloading programs from a bunch of channels that I would have expected to be copy-once, but Tivo did not enforce the policy I described above. Some of the channels are BBCA-HD, CNBC-HD, TVLAND...
So what changed?
(1) The Tivo app changed and no longer enforces the policy described above, or
(2) Frontier changed the DRM flags on these channels, or
(3) Something is wrong with my CableCard in a way that works in my favor
...or something else?
I have noticed a bunch of V53 problems lately that require a reboot of my Tivo to recover any signal at all. The settings menus show "could not load /CableCars//pa//pa". That's where I got the idea that maybe my CableCard is going bad.
