So, I'm back with Frontier after 2 years. I had 45 down, 6 up when I left 2 years ago and that's what I came back to. But, in doing speed tests here at DSLReports, I'm seeing high upload buffer bloat (250ms) and sometimes the upload part of the test will stall out with speeds of 0.0 Mbps. I never had this problem previously (same address, same wiring as 2 years ago). I previously had the Arris NVG589 bridged to an Apple AirPort Extreme and now I'm just using the Arris NVG448. Can anyone speak to the performance of the 448? Is this where my problem lies? I was hoping the 448 would perform well on its own, but I'm getting ready to just bridge it and put my AirPort back in place for routing duties. As far as that goes, is bridging the 448 the same as the 589? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.
