The attached image says it all... My DSL connection is USUALLY pretty poor, sometimes going out for hours or days at a time... but sometimes, it gets VERY stable. (I wish that were the norm :) )
The modem is located at a vacation home and monitored remotely via DSLStats. It is about 20,000 feet from the CO and has an AdrenaLine extender on our line. The modem is the only thing connected to the NID, only about 10 feet of wiring from the NID to the modem. Unfortunately the sections of the SNR graph that show the SNR all over the place is the norm.
So, my question is... what could be causing this sometimes-stable, sometimes-unstable connection? It hasn't rained since Thursday, and the weather during the 24-hour period shown in the image has been cold and overcast; no nearby thunderstorms or anything of that nature. I'd like to keep that stable connection around more often.
