A couple of people I know who just built/bought homes in the subject line counties are being told they can't get new DSL/phone service because Frontier is out of ports on at least some of their RTs. At least one of them was told once by Customer Service that Frontier has no plans to increase the ports at the affected RTs. Mostly they get installs scheduled that simply don't show up. Local techs have confirmed they are out of ports.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on? I am concerned this is related to the Frontier's recent financial issues. Any solid news, good or bad, would be welcome.
Note: I can't take this to Frontier Direct since I don't have any problems with my existing service, and the others don't have active Frontier accounts.
