A while back I started a thread about my Frontier DSL. I thank you all for your assistance. But it has gotten worse.
Many of the T1 lines have gone out, and they refuse to fix them.
My DSLAM is above.
We called the State Manager, what have you. We called corp. many MANY times.
We keep getting promised help that never comes. Average speed has gone from ~1MBPS to ~0.3MBPS sometimes dipping to 56KBPS speeds.
Upload PING is over 1000ms always
Download PING ranges from 400-700ms
MegaPath's T1 service is over 4 thousand dollars a month for 1.5mbps.
Sat internet will not work
We are 20 miles out of a huge city, why do I have to deal with this? We are surrounded by AT@T fiber, NTEC, and TCC fiber.
We have no other option. The AdTran you see turns off when snow melts on it, and was once tipped over....
Another company is deploying more fiber nearby, but Frontier won't let them come in. All of the other fiber providers in our area are not CLECs so they won't come.
I work from home, making over 30 dollars an hour. I could be making easily double that if my programs would upload in time. But when it takes 2 hours to upload a 4MB .jar file, your boss doesn't care if you finished it earlier, they just care about when they can get it.
Contemplating moving away
