[FiOS] ONT and Router not communicating

Today, my internet went down, and we had not changed any wiring or anything else on our network. We have 75/75 FiOS in Florida, and out ONT is connected to the router via Ethernet. Of course, I rebooted everything first, and when the ONT and router came back up, still no connection. The router was giving me an error message that stated that a network cable was unplugged and there was no WAN. I checked the cable, and it was fine on both ends. So, I went out to the ONT, and there were lights on for power, Network, and Mgmnt, but the Data light was off, and the Ethernet port lights were both off. So, I turned off the ONT for a while to reset DHCP, and I connected my laptop directly to the ONT. As the ONT was booting, the Ethernet port lights went on, and the Data light went on for a few seconds. My computer indicated a broken Ethernet connection with no internet for a few seconds. Then, the Ethernet port lights went out, and the data lights went out. Then my computer stopped showing an Ethernet link as well. It's almost like the ONT is disabling the Ethernet port now for some reason during the boot process because those lights never came on after that. Called tech support, and of course, they can only send someone out on Thursday. They can't check the Ethernet port at all. They did say that the ONT showed as connected to the network and good, but that's all they could see. Of course, they couldn't reach my router at all. Any ideas, or should we just wait until Thursday? Really wish we didn't have to wait that long.
