My little brother keeps having problems with his DSL service. He has super slow speeds (even for DSL) AND the connection keeps dropping when it's raining or humid. I have replaced the modem which gave a slight speed boost, but he's still losing connections all the time. I had him open the customer access side of his NID. This is what he found. So from the corrosion and debris I'd say it's obviously no longer protected from the elements. It's an SNI-4600 NID and I've found a lot of modules that are designed to fit. How do I get Frontier to actually address the issue? If it's as hopeless as it's been, which module should I install?
He had a tech scheduled for a visit the other day and never received a notification call. When he called to find out what was going on they told him someone was already there and found no issues. He was home all day and no one was there. He's in WV.
