I live in Gresham, Oregon. I am originally a Verizon FIOS customer before the buyout. At the end of 2014 I was told that I could no longer have the "Verizon Ultimate TV" package, I had to have the Frontier Ultimate TV which had 10 more HD channels is all. I had been a FIOS customer, TV and Internet customer for over 4 years at that point. I was also told that the Frontier Ultimate would be $10.00 more a month because it had more HD channels. At that time, I was paying around $146.00 for 25/25 FIOS internet, and the FIOS TV Ultimate package. I had one normal set top box, and one DVR Box.
So, when they switched me, they dumped my old account number, making me look like a new customer, and l lost all my bill history. It took three months to get my account somewhat straight, since when they changed my account, they charged me install, and all sorts of other fees for no reason. The bill was over $300.00. Eventually someone gave me credits, but apparently they only lasted one year, since as of this month, my bill went from $129.00 to $179.00. I was supposed to have a two year lock on the internet as they upgraded my internet to 50/50 for less than I was paying for the 25/25. They still gave me a credit on this months billing for "FiOS TV 12 month offer credit term 4/30/15 - 4/29/16" for $17.32, and "FiOS bundle promo" for $4.27. The total credits were $21.59. Previously my discounts totalled $71.98.
I know the credits would eventually go away, but I thought I would pay what I was originally quoted, which was $10.00 more than my original old account bill, which would make the price $156.00. I can't seem to find any pricing information on their website for existing customers.
So, I'm wondering what people in my area are currently paying, since it looks like my bill will be going even higher than the $178.72 I am being billed this month!
I dread having to call customer service. I spend days, and hours before trying to get my bill worked out, and apparently all I got was a bandaid fix.
